U.S. Navy Vice Admiral also fired after refusing to hang president and defense secretary portraits on “Chain of Command” board.
The Department of Defense announced the removal of Space Force Colonel Susannah Meyers from command of the Pituffik Space Base on Greenland for “for loss of confidence in her ability to lead.” The colonel had “apologized” to everyone on the base in a mass email after Vice President JD Vance visited last month, saying that his remarks about Denmark underinvesting in Greenland were “not reflective of Pituffik Space Base.”
Space Operations Command stated, “Commanders are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially as it relates to remaining nonpartisan in the performance of their duties.”
Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell stated, “Actions to undermine the chain of command or to subvert President Trump’s agenda will not be tolerated at the Department of Defense.”
Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield was also relieved for cause this month after she told subordinates that she would “wait [the current administration] out.” She also refused to place President Trump’s or Defense Secretary Hegseth’s portraits on the headquarters “Chain of Command” board.
One outlet noted that not only does the U.S. military officer’s oath require them to “support and defend the Constitution,” the commission of all officers states, “This officer is to observe and follow such orders and directions from time to time as may be given by the President of the United States of America.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. military officers and commanders to uphold the Constitution and the chain of command of the nation’s Armed Forces.
- For President Trump to be led by God as commander-in-chief of the military.
- For Secretary Hegseth to seek the Lord’s guidance as he heads the Department of Defense.
